Jon Hare is back with a spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer, the fast-paced, arcadey soccer game that was known for its over-the-top goals.

Move over FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer, Sensible Soccer is getting a spiritual successor from the man behind the original, Jon Hare.

Sociable Soccer certainly lives up to the spiritual successor tag by the looks of the early gameplay footage. It's described as "an instantly playable football game for football fans all over the world."

But before it can actually happen, Sociable Soccer needs to raise Kickstarter funding. The project, which looks to " bring fast paced, arcade style football games up to date" is seeking £300,000.

Sociable Soccer will be equipped with multiplayer, including clan based online leagues, customisable player avatars, and gameplay that should be familiar to Sensible Soccer veterans.

It also features 30 single player trophies and DIY competitions for up to eight players on one system for those who aren't as fond of being sociable.

Sociable Soccer, assuming its funded, will be completed by the end of 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
