New Windows 10 features may be delayed

Microsoft is expected to release a major Windows 10 update in the coming months, but some features may be held back as Microsoft works on OneCore.

A major Windows 10 update is expected to arrive in the next few months, but it may not be as chock full of features as some users might have hoped.

It’s said that some features are being delayed because Microsoft is focusing on working with the underlying structure of the operating system, OneCore, and reshaping the way that preview builds are put together. Petri spoke with multiple sources that confirmed this is happening.

This ties in with Gabe Aul's recent comments about major changes being made to OneCore, as well as reports that Microsoft is to speed up delivery of preview builds to Fast Ring insiders.

There are no mentions as to what features may be delayed. While this may seem disappointing, a solid foundation should provide a good base for more features to be added and previews could be out quicker in the future.
