New leak points to two Samsung Galaxy S7 variants

Samsung is planning to release two versions of the Galaxy S7, according to another leak. Expect to hear more in January or February, most likely at MWC.

Yet another leak indicates that Samsung is planning to release the Galaxy S7 in two sizes.

South Korea's Electronic Times believes that the upcoming Galaxy S7 will have two versions: one with a 5.2-inch screen and another with a 5.5-inch Edge screen. By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch screen while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has a 5.7-inch screen.

This isn't the first time we've heard that Samsung is taking this approach. In September, Asia Today reported that one would feature a 5.2-inch screen and one would have a 5.8-inch screen.

It's expected that the Galaxy S7 will go into mass production in February. Expect to hear official confirmation from Samsung in Q1 2016, most likely at MWC in February.
