New Fitbit Alta is fashionable too
Fitbit has shown off its latest activity tracker - the Fitbit Alta - and it's adding some fashionable kinks into the mix
Fitbit activity trackers do their thing really well but they're not going to win any awards for stylishness. The company is hoping to change things with the Alta, and it looks like this.
The tracker itself is made of stainless steel, which is a definite visual improvement over the plastic norm. Another big change is the addition of Accessory Bands which will come in metal and leather options and let you instantly change the look for different situations. There are a number of different clock faces for the simple OLED screen as well, giving you a little more control over how it looks and feels.
It will automatically track your steps, sleep, running and more and sync it back to your smartphone so you can get an overview of your exercise. It doesn't have a heart rate monitor so it's more aimed at casual exercise fans and the battery should last 5 days on a charge.
The Alta is coming in March and US pricing is $130.
