Mirror's Edge Catalyst dev diary shows off free-flowing movement
A Mirror's Edge Catalyst dev diary has been released that shows off the free-flowing movement and combat elements of the upcoming game.
EA has released a developer diary for Mirror's Edge Catalyst that shows off the world, demonstrates the "fluidity of movement," and delves into how combat works.
Apparently, if it sounds good, it's going to play out even better. That's quite the claim to make, but the footage we've seen to date has looked quite impressive.
One of the drastic changes to Mirror's Edge Catalyst is the inclusion of an open world and the ability to roam around at will. Unlike it's predecessor which primarily tested if players could pull off certain moves, the challenge and skill here will be determining the best route to take.
Fluidity is seemingly the be-all-and-end-all in Catalyst. We loved the opening levels, which were arguably the most free-flowing section of the game, so we're looking forward to seeing this in action.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be released on May 26th.
