Mirror's Edge Catalyst was supposed to ship by the end of May 2016 but the first person parkour adventure has shifted release again

EA and DICE were gearing up to release Mirror's Edge Catalyst in May, now that's no longer the case.

The game will now come to consoles and PC on the 9th of June instead, that's a two week delay. The word is that the developers want to take a little more time to get full feedback from the upcoming closed beta, and to give them a little leeway to implement changes based on user feedback. According to an official blog post:

"To support the Social Play features, we are using a brand new online technology. We also want to make sure we have the opportunity and time to address player feedback from the Closed Beta. That is why we will give ourselves a bit more time to perfect the game, with a new release date for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst of June 7th (NA) and June 9th (EU). We’re confident that these extra two weeks will make sure the game is as amazing as possible for you the players."

This is the second time Catalyst has suffered a delay and while it's disappointing two weeks suggests that no major tinkering will have to take place. Once again, the new release date is June 9th 2016.
