LG G5 details leak - second screen incoming
Some potential details for the LG G5 flagship handset have leaked, suggesting the new smartphone could have a second screen
The LG smartphone brand has been on the rise in recent years, with 2015's G4 earning great reviews based on its stellar performance and impressive camera. Naturally, a followup will be arriving in 2016 and some rumoured specs are starting to emerge.
The LG G5 could have a slightly smaller screen at 5.3 inches (down from 5.5 inches) and might also sport a secondary display. This tech was first used by LG in the V10 premium handset and emerged as a small additional screen below the main panel. Here you could readily access customisable shortcuts for your favourite apps and functions without having to wake the full screen.
That element will really set the phone apart and there are more unique features in the mix, including a so-called 'magic slot' which could be a way to add in extra hardware elements after launch. This could be something like an external battery or camera pack, or maybe connectivity for some virtual reality machine.
The specs inside will also be impressive, including a Snapdragon 820 chipset and 3 gigs of RAM. The rumour mentions two rear mounted cameras for fast focus and ultra wide snaps, both with 16 megapixel sensors, as well as a range of flashes and focus lights.
It sounds like it could be one of the outstanding handsets of the new year if this is all true, but right now this information should be taken as a rumour.
