iPad Air 3 could have some serious specs
The Apple iPad Air 3 has yet to be officially announced but there are rumours suggesting it could be a really serious bit of kit
Apple isn't giving up on the tablet market yet, with a suggestion that a new 9.7 inch tablet could be unveiled as soon as March 2016. It's likely to be the iPad Air 3 and arrive with some serious specs.
New leaks are suggesting a 4K panel for the as yet unannounced device, as well as 4 gigs of RAM. That puts it near the top of the heap in terms of Apple devices and also in comparison to most other tablets currently available. It will sport a larger battery and might not feature the 3D Touch tech which has been part of the recent Apple Watch and iPhone 6s launches.
The March deadline is fast approaching and would mean the iPad Air 3 could launch at the same time as the rumoured new iPhone 5se - which is said to feature a return to the 4 inch screen size. Of course, these devices have yet to be officially confirmed by Apple so the rumours could be inaccurate. Given that they come from a manufacturing partner, it's all but assured that there will be a major new tablet in March.
