Huawei could soon make PCs
There's a rumour around that communications tech maker Huawei could be getting into the personal computing game this year
You may have been hearing the name Huawei in recent months as the manufacturer of a range of smartphones but the company itself is a technology giant, with deep rooted ties to the global communications infrastructure and over 170,000 employees worldwide.
It's a tech titan, and the company may have just found the next area it wants to conquer - the PC laptop market. Reports are suggesting that the Chinese group could be getting into the hybrid space, working on a device which would include a dual booting operating system including Windows and Android.
Word from a Chinese newspaper suggests Huawei could show off their first ever laptop at Mobile World Congress, which kicks off in Barcelona on the 22nd of February. There's even a suggestion that the device could be called the MateBook, which would be in line with the naming conventions of their mobile brand.
There's no official information on this device yet but expect more news over the next few weeks.
