GoldenEye 64 Honest Trailer - relive the nostalgia!
GoldenEye was one of the defining video games of the Nintendo 64 era, with incredible gameplay and amazing multiplayer
In 1995, Irish fella Pierce Brosnan took over the role of James Bond from the unfairly jilted Timothy Dalton for GoldenEye - and there was no denying it was an entertaining entry in the long running franchise. Strangely enough, it took a further two years for an officially licensed game of the movie to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait.
GoldenEye 007 was an Nintendo 64 exclusive which released in August 1997 and pretty much redefined what people expected from first person shooters on consoles. It had amazing gameplay and standard setting graphics, and it also basically created the multiplayer that we know and love today.
Almost two decades on, it's a game that people still play but how has it really aged beyond the veils of nostalgia. That's just one thing we find out in this hilarious Honest Trailer from Smosh.com.
Ok so the graphics are terrible now and the mechanics make no sense - sometimes it's better to remember a game fondly than play it again.
