Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta coming soon
Gears of War 4 is set to get a major multiplayer beta next month which will be open for all players with early access for fans
Gears of War 4 is set for release by the end of 2016, picking up events 25 years after the last game in the series and with a whole new cast of characters.
There's no doubt that's going to be particularly epic, and new developers The Coalition will be under a lot of pressure to deliver. They've had some practise in recent months, delivering a remastered version of the original Gears of Wars to Xbox One and PC and we're going to get to see more of what they've been up to with a new multiplayer beta.
The Gears of War 4 closed beta starts on the 18th of April on Xbox One, with anyone who played the GoW remaster on Xbox One or PC getting early access. Everyone else will be invited in from the 25th of April, with the whole affair lasting until the 1st of May. It's likely that the developers will test a whole mess of different maps and modes to make sure everything is up to scratch as thousands of players try to kill eachother with a chainsaw gun.
There's no confirmed release date yet for Gears of War 4, but we're willing to bet on a September or October release.
