The upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake on PlayStation 4 will be divided into multiple parts, each with their own experiences, according to Square Enix.

Square Enix has revealed that the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake for PlayStation 4 will be split into multiple parts.

The remake will be "told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience," according to Square.

While a new trailer was released to showcase the game in action at PlayStation Experience, we did not hear any details about pricing or the release date of the first part of the adventure.

Gematsu translated an interview from Dengeki Online, in which Square said, "The idea that a remake of Final Fantasy VII would not fit into a single release was there from the very beginning... if we dedicated our time to a single release, parts of it would become summarised."

If you are looking to simply replay the classic Final Fantasy VII from your youth, it is now available to buy on PlayStation 4. That should tide fans over for a while.
