ESL has announced the world's first 24/7 esports TV channel, which will go live in May with footage of ESL's biggest tournaments.

No matter the time or day, you’ll soon be able to tune into a dedicated esports TV channel.

esportsTV is the brainchild of ESL, which it says “represents ESL’s ongoing commitment to increasing content accessibility for the esports community worldwide.”

The channel will launch in May 2016 and ESL, and its parent company MTG, are in talks with TV distributors and platform operators around the world. MTG will be distributing esportsTV content on its Nordic and Baltic satellite platforms.

As you’d expect esportsTV will feature broadcasts of ESL’s biggest events including ESL One, Intel Extreme Masters as well as Pro League competitions.

ESL’s Ralf Reichert explained the importance of the channel’s launch. “Bringing new and existing content to more screens worldwide is key to further accelerating the growth and popularity of esports, and we’re on a mission to reach every gamer in the world,” he said.

More updates will be released in the near future.
