id Software and Bethesda are bringing players back to Doom in May, and you can go to hell very soon with an open beta

Are you ready to go to hell? Well id Software and Bethesda are giving you a change, and sooner than expected.

A new Doom game, called Doom just for simplicity, is due out in May 2016 and a closed beta has already shown off the multiplayer to select group of people. Now everyone is being invited to enter the fray.

A multiplayer open beta will be held from the 15th to the 18th of April 2016. You'll get access to a handful of modes and two maps and, most importantly, get to see if this is the kind of thing that you're into. The beta is on PS4, Xbox One and PC so it should give players ample opportunity to get their demon on.

Bethesda also announced the season pass which will focus on multiplayer and deliver up three packs with new maps, characters, armour, taunts and things of that nature. The full pass costs around €40 and they're also promising plenty of free content along the way.
