The Capcom Pro Tour has drawn to a close with its champion walking away with $120,000. Capcom also revealed its future plans and some SFV news.

The Capcom Pro Tour got underway all the way back in February, and finally crowned its champion last night.

Japan's Kazunoko stormed the field, claiming the title and $120,000 in the process. Along the way, he overcame fierce competitors such as the UK's Problem X, and countrymen Misse and the legendary Daigo Umehara.

Capcom also revealed that next year's Pro Tour will utilise Street Fighter V and will have a baseline prize of $500,000. The Pro Tour gets underway at Final Round 19 in March.

The developer managed to stem the leaks regarding Street Fighter V. After the finals and award ceremony took place, Capcom's Yoshinori Ono took to the stage to reveal Street Fighter V's opening cinematic and a new live action series called from the same people who brought you Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, called Street Fighter: Resurrection. This will focus on Charlie Nash's story using the character design that we'll see in the upcoming game.

Finally, Capcom announced that as an early Christmas present of sorts, there will be a third Street Fighter V beta taking place between December 18th and December 20th.
