Blizzard's Overwatch coming in May?
The gaming behemoth of Blizzard is set to launch its first new game in years, and Overwatch could be here very soon
Blizzard is a gaming name you may know. They're behind Diablo, Starcraft and a little thing called World of Warcraft. In fact these properties have been doing so well for them that they haven't launched a totally new title since the first Starcraft back in 1998. That's about to change with the launch of Overwatch.
As is the way of things these days, Overwatch is a mutliplayer shooter in the first person vein. It has bright colours and over the top action, with teams battling it out in arenas and various classes... yadda yadda. The game has been going through various betas in recent months and the response from users has been pretty positive as Blizzard remained coy about the actual release date of the thing.
Now it seems we have a better idea thanks to a leak which appeared of all places as an ad on IGN.com. The visual was quickly taken down but the information was already out there - an open beta for the 3rd of May and a full release following on the 24th of the month.
That's not to long away, and the presence of the ad also suggests that an official annoucement will be happening soon. And in the meantime someone behind the scenes at IGN is probably in a spot of bother.
