Black Ops 3 is free to play this weekend
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is offering a free weekend of multiplayer action to all gamers on Steam - so get out there and shoot someone
If you're still not sure whether you want to get into the multiplayer action of Call of Duty Black Ops 3 then there's yet another chance to try it for free on Steam this weekend.
This demo only includes the multiplayer aspect of the blockbuster game, and is actually an entirely new and unique product - the Multiplayer Starter Pack. It includes a trimmed down version of the competitive online elements of the game which retails for €15, a lot less than the full title. And you can try it all right now until the 28th of February, and buy it right after if you're so inclined.
It's a taster for a taster then, with Activision hoping that players will be sucked in enough to pick up the entire game afterwards, though it's good to note that any money you've already paid will be taken off the full retail price. It really is a bare bones release, with none of the fun Zombies co-op madness or even the ability to access custom games or progress to Prestige levels. Though if you're sinking in that kind of time you should probably just buy the full game.
The multiplayer pack is available for free now on Steam.
