The Lookout Apple Watch app has a number of features that should make it harder to lose your iPhone, including an alarm that causes it to scream.

There's a new Apple Watch app that may give you a little more peace of mind if you're the type of person who leaves their iPhone down only to forget where they put it.

Mobile security company Lookout launched the Lookout app this week, which has a few nifty features to help you keep tabs on your phone. Firstly, there's a meter that shows you how far away from your phone you are based on the strength of the Bluetooth connection between your phone and your watch. If you move out of Bluetooth range, your Watch will buzz.

If you left it behind you somewhere, you can see the last place that your iPhone and Watch were connected. That should cut down on the amount of retracing your steps you have to do.

And if you think your phone has been stolen, or you just can't find it amongst an organised pile of chaos, the app features a scream feature. This causes the iPhone to emit a loud alarm that should help you find it or at least deter an opportunistic thief from holding onto it.
