One fifth of internet users visited Amazon in June

One in five internet users visited Amazon sites in June, new figures show.

The figures from digital analysts Comscore showed the Amazon received 282 million visitors in that period or the equivalent of over 20pc of the internet’s international population.

A breakdown of the figures shows that Europe accounted for nearly 32pc of visitors while North Americans accounted for over 35pc.

EBay, was the next most visited site, with 223.5 million visitors, or 16.2pc of the worldwide audience.

The survey analysed user over 15 and only surveyed internet access from home or work computers.
