Greenpeace has once again accused Nintendo of having the worst environmental record among consumer electronics companies.
The controversial annual survey by the activist group assesses what toxic chemicals are used in products and how much effort firms put into recycling their goods.
Nintendo hotly denies the claims and not everyone agrees with Greenpeace's methodology but the regular survey has become an embarrassment for those who come out worst, which also includes Microsoft.
At the other end of the scale, Nokia, closely followed by Sony Ericsson, takes the plaudits for best performance on green issues.
Trailing these by a sizeable margin is a clutch of rivals including Toshiba, Apple, Sony and Samsung.
