TechSpace festival kicks off at Google's HQ

Astrophysicist Joseph Roche is among the keynote speakers at the TechSpace festival this week.

Mr Roche, who has worked at NASA and the Mars One Programme, will be jointed by keynote speakers like Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain at the event in the Foundry, Google Headquarters on October 30.

TechSpace is an after-school programme that inspires young people to become digital creators and investors through free access to hardware, software as well as educators and mentors.

Its members include Foroigel, YMCA Ireland, CDYSB and NYCI and it is hosted and run by social enterprise Camara Ireland and to date 55 centres have been set up around the country.

The Festival showcases some of the talent and creativity that has resulted from the initiative.
