Facebook to immediately increase solutions for small businesses
Facebook has announced plans to increase the solutions which it provides to small businesses.
Among the solutions provided is a one-click option to reinstate high-performing ads and compare ads – an enhancement to their Ads Manager application. Facebook will notify businesses when a high performing ad is about to end and give businesses a one-click option to extend the ad by 1,3 or 7 days.
They have also created Mobile Studio, a new way to show businesses how easy it is to create great ads using only a mobile device.
Speaking to Independent.ie, Olly Sewell, head of small and medium business for Facebook UK and Ireland, said that more and more businesses are using mobile technology and in response to this the solutions Facebook is providing are on mobile.
The social media company will also increase the number of Blueprint eLearning courses available. These courses give users the power to learn best practices for advertising on Facebook's apps and services.
To-date almost 2.5m eLearning courses have been taken by people across more than 150 countries, and 50pc of the total course enrolments are taken by small or medium business owners and employees.
Facebook will also make it easier to run global campaigns from anywhere, with new solutions that help businesses connect with new customers through the following tools;
- International Lookalikes which can help businesses find new people that look like their best customers in other countries.
- Worldwide/Global Region targeting that can help businesses set up a global campaign and find efficient conversions.
- Country Snapshots and Insights Playbook can help businesses create customized campaigns in each country.
“There are 1.8bn users on Facebook, of which 1 bn are connected to a business in a foreign market, more 55m people in the world are connected to a business in Ireland and these solutions make it easier to run global campaigns,” Sewell said.
The social networking site currently has 65 million businesses with Facebook pages, while 8 million businesses have profiles on the photo-sharing site Instagram.
