Microsoft's upcoming Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL could cost as much as the iPhone 6S in Europe, according to one Spanish retailer.
Microsoft has some new Lumia devices to unveil in the coming weeks, but they won’t come cheap. Spanish retailer Ecomputer says that the Lumia 950 XL will cost as much as the iPhone 6S in Europe.
The retailer prices the larger Lumia 950 XL at €749, while the Lumia 950 is set to cost €659. That’s as much as you’ll pay for the iPhone 6S in France.
Leaked specs indicate that the Lumia 950 will feature a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, and 3GB of RAM. You’ll also get your hands on 32GB internal storage and a substantial 3,000mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Lumia 950 XL reportedly comes with a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, and 3GB of RAM. It also comes with 32GB internal storage along with microSD support, a 20 megapixel PureView camera, a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,300mAh battery.
All eyes will be on Microsoft when it takes to the stage on October 6th. If these price tags prove accurate, it seems like a statement of intent that Microsoft feels it is willing and able to challenge Apple.
