New HTC smartphone on the Irish market tells you when you can have a lie-in
HTC announces the launch of two new smartphones, HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play, to the Irish market.
Both devices feature a liquid surface coloured glass design that the firm boasts is "ultra-thin yet durable".
The offerings - which follow two years of development at HTC - also have in-built intelligence software that learns from your daily phone habits.
The aim of this HTC Sense Companion is to learn from your usage and adapt by helping you receive more power, for example, requesting you recharge as a busy day lies ahead.
The software develops a picture over time of how users behave so that it can better help them day to day.
Taking 'smart' to a new level, HTC U can even tell its owner if they need to put on another layer of clothing (weather is cold) or even if they can sleep in the morning (bank holiday).
"Intelligent headphones" are included that HTC maintains adapt to your hearing, offering personalised tuning and ambient noise reduction.
Both the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play feature a front-facing camera that switches from 16MP high resolution images to a 4MP UltraPixel mode.
The HTC U Ultra will be available to purchase, sim-free, on the HTC e-store from €749 in three colours: Brilliant Black, Sapphire Blue and Ice White.
Meanwhile, HTC U Play will be available at Three Ireland from March 1 in two colours: Brilliant Black and Sapphire Blue. Price is still to be confirmed.
