Mass Effect writer returns to BioWare
Lead writer on Mass Effect 1 and 2, Drew Karpyshyn, has announced his return to BioWare after completing his Chaos Born trilogy.
Writer Drew Karpyshyn, the lead writer on Mass Effect 1 and 2, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, has returned to BioWare.
Writing on his blog, Karpyshan announced that having completed his Chaos Born novel trilogy, he has decided to return to BioWare. But he reassured fans of his novels that he will still be writing more of those too.
Karpyshan got ahead of the speculation, shutting down the possibility that BioWare will announce a new project tied to his return. He added, “I originally came to the Austin studio many years ago to work on [Star Wars: The Old Republic] and - at least for now - that's what I'm focusing on again."
His statement doesn’t rule out working on something that BioWare is already working on though. Mass Effect 4 is currently in development in Montreal, Canada, and Mass Effect fans would be eager to see his name amongst the credits.
