BlackBerry is working on an Android slider handset, codenamed Venice. Newly leaked pictures give us an idea of what this upcoming handset will look like.
BlackBerry’s Android device, codenamed Venice, has appeared in newly leaked pictures.
The images feature a slider phone with BlackBerry’s traditional qwerty keyboard. According to previous rumours, the device 5.4-inches and features a curved screen similar to what’s found on Samsung’s Galaxy Edge devices.
It looks like the Venice is running something similar to vanilla Android. But there are keyboard shortcuts and other features that should take advantage of the slide form factor.
It’s suggested that the BlackBerry Venice will be powered by the Snapdragon 808 clocked at 1.8GHz, supported by 3GB RAM. It will reportedly feature an 18 megapixel rear-facing camera.
Android Authority’s report suggests that BlackBerry will unveil the device in November.
