Intercom has tripled its office space in the old Anglo Irish headquarters on Stephens Green for an undisclosed deal. Available office space in the same building is quoted at €48.50 per square foot.
The customer service software firm, which now employs 300 people between its Dublin design office and its San Francisco sales headquarters, now occupies three floors (51,000 square feet) of the building.
Earlier this year, Intercom raised €45m in fresh venture funding with plans to hire an additional 100 staff in Dublin by the middle of next year. It has raised just over €100m in funding since it was established in 2011.
The terms of the expansion deal with Irish Life, which owns the infamous Stephens Green property, have not been disclosed. However, property agent Knight Frank is quoting €48.50 per square foot the 4th, 5th and 6th floors in the same building.
Intercom was established five years by Eoghan McCabe, Des Traynor, Ciaran Lee and David Barrett. The company currently has over 13,000 customers worldwide and is expanding at a rapid rate. Its operations are divided between Dublin and San Francisco, with the majority of its design and development based in the Irish capital.
