Mobile advertising company Madme has raised €1m with Irish venture capital firm Delta Partners and plans to add over 30 jobs to its set-up.

The Dublin start-up was founded by Triona Mullane, a former chief technology officer at Newbay, the Irish tech company that was sold to BlackBerry maker RIM for €75m.

Mullane heads up this venture and is also a director of the Sunday Independent's parent INM and of €6m-backed Cleverbug.

The latest funding will be used to power its business development and global rollout in North and Latin America and Asia. "The focus is about getting out there to as many global operators as possible," said Mullane.

The company has offices in Dublin, London and Boston and is opening a base in Mexico shortly. The majority of its R&D activity will be based in Ireland.

Prior to Newbay, Mullane was CTO at Logica US and has over 25 years' experience in the telcoms space.
