Florists, fashion and fitness top the most unsubscribed-to emails of 2013

Flowers, fitness and fashion among the top 15 most unsubscribed-to email lists of 2013.

The list is courtesy of, an email "rollup" service which combines all your chosen subscriptions into one daily digest. It also offers you the chance to unsubscribe with one click from each subscription.

The data was collected from "over 1 billion emails stopped from reaching our users' inboxes in 2013".

Flowers feature highly on the list, with two of the three most unsubscribed-to email lists belonging to worldwide florists. Fitness also takes a battering with two fitness sites making it into the top fifteen.

  1.     1800 Flowers — 52.50% unsubscribe rate
  2.     Ticketweb — 47.50% unsubscribe rate
  3.     Pro Flowers — 45.10% unsubscribe rate
  4.     Expedia — 45.00% unsubscribe rate
  5. — 44.70% unsubscribe rate
  6.     Eventful — 44.20% unsubscribe rate
  7.     Oriental Trading — 43.60% unsubscribe rate
  8. — 42.10% unsubscribe rate
  9.     1800 Contacts — 42.00% unsubscribe rate
  10.     Party City — 41.60% unsubscribe rate
  11.     Schoolfeed — 40.60% unsubscribe rate
  12. — 40.60% unsubscribe rate
  13. — 40.40% unsubscribe rate
  14. — 39.70% unsubscribe rate
  15. — 39.50% unsubscribe rate

In contrast, the most popular subscription is Facebook, with over 70% of users subscribed to Facebook emails. Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn all predictably make the most popular list, with appearances from Apple, Netflix, Spotify and Ticketmaster.
