First Derivatives in digital sector move

Financial software firm First Derivatives has entered the marketing analytics sector with the launch of a new product called Delta Marketing Cloud.

It's the first in a series of new-market entries mooted by the Newry-based company since its acquisition of a majority stake in big data company Kx Systems. The product aims to help users evaluate how their marketing investment is performing. First Derivatives is also likely to enter the "internet of things" market, where data is generated by everyday objects connected to the web.
