Enet lines up new team after IIF deal done
Enet has finalised its new leadership team.
This follows the acquisition of the final minority stake in the business by the Irish Infrastructure Fund (IIF) last month.
Enet is an important player in the National Broadband Plan.
Peter McCarthy was recently appointed to the role of CEO, with overall responsibility for all Enet business activity including business strategy and operations. He has over 30 years' experience with a number of companies including Actavo, Digicel and Accenture.
Meanwhile, Noel Ryan has been appointed CFO. Mr Ryan has previously held senior financial roles at Digicel, Trulife Group, VeriFone, Trintech and Hitachi. Most recently he held the position of regional CFO of Denis O'Brien-owned Digicel. David Eyre has been confirmed as Enet's chief commercial officer.
David McCourt, the businessman whose dinners with former Communications Minister Denis Naughten caused controversy over the National Broadband Plan, sold his stake in Enet to the IIF in December for an undisclosed sum.
