DataSolutions has invested €250,000 to secure the exclusive UK and Ireland distribution rights in an agreement with Safetica.

The Dublin-based company has partnered with the Czech-based software vendor as demand for data protection solutions rise.

Safetica provides a quick-to-deploy data loss prevention (DLP) solution that helps protect organisations from data breaches.

Group Security Sales Director of DataSolutions, David Keating, said that company insider threats pose the biggest risk to businesses.

"Safetica's solution not only provides organisations with an overview of how its sensitive data flows through the system, but puts control of sensitive data back in management’s hands," he said.

The UK market now accounts for 30pc of DataSolutions' business, with the expectation of raising that to 50pc over the next three years.

In the past three years, the firm has doubled its business and expects to grow its revenues to €80m by 2021.

CEO of Safetica Technologies, Petr Zikes, said that the partnership is a "perfect match".

"While many vendors have tweaked their offering to cover off GDPR aspects, there is a clear demand in the UK and Irish markets for a specialist DLP solution built from the ground up," he said.
