How long could you go without Twitter?

Weeks on end! It's more of a 'nice to have' thing for me, as opposed to essential.

Is using the site constantly unhealthy?

I know some people who tweet every hour... but perhaps their lives are really interesting!

The biggest reaction you've got from a tweet?

I tweeted: "On page 1 of The Sun as a Gay TD. Pic of me in my brother's jumper. He's furious. Wants me to clarify that it is actually a straight jumper." It was retweeted over 100 times!

If you were to quit Twitter tomorrow, what would you miss the most?

I really like Twitter for the ability to find out what's going on right now.

How long could you go without Twitter?

I use the site every day, but could go without it forever.

Do you agree that using the site constantly is unhealthy?

It depends on the user. Some people get great enjoyment from the interaction with so many people.

What's the biggest reaction, positive or negative, you've got from a Tweet?

“Georgia Salpa will not appear on this week's Republic of Telly.” Cue barrage of abuse.

If you were to quit Twitter tomorrow, what would you miss the most?

The constant Jedward and One Direction updates – for God's sake, will someone tell me what they had for breakfast?

How long could you go without Twitter?

I did away with it on holidays last year, so two weeks. It took a lot of getting used to.

Is using the site constantly unhealthy?

Yep. It is a constant form of distraction and stops you “being in the moment” as they would say.

What's the biggest reaction you've got from a tweet?

People really believed I was renaming a daughter ‘Rooney’ after he scored that overhead kick last year.

If you were to quit Twitter, what would you miss the most?

The wit. Some people have truly mastered the less-is-more thing. It’s very funny.

How long could you go without Twitter?

Occasionally I’ll take an evening off, but then I’m right back on it the following day.

Do you agree that using the site constantly is unhealthy?

I think Twitter is extremely unhealthy. It’s toxic, like heroin, and just as easily addictive! I decided to try it out and within a year I found myself sharing sometimes inappropriate stuff. In the time I have spent on it, my husband reckons I could have written another two books.

What’s the biggest reaction you’ve got from a Tweet?

When I announced I was going to be playing at Oxegen. There wasn’t any press release, I just came out and said it — and there was a lot of abuse. Yes, it’s wounding to read what some people say — maybe one day I’ll give it up, but for now I’m stuck in my Twitter addiction.

If you were to quit Twitter tomorrow, what would you miss the most?

Twitter allows me to connect with the world when I’ve been cut off — I don’t know how I’d do without that! Amanda Brunker presents Amanda’s World on Sunshine 106.8 at 6pm
