Bits and bytes

Gaming is the dimension where 3D makes most sense and the next few months will see an avalanche of announcements about enhanced titles.

Almost first out of the block is Killzone 3, the second sequel to the blockbuster shooter and it will be in 3D. However, it won’t be released until next year.

What will our TDs do when confronted by hundreds of identical emails from constituents about issues of concern?

Will they just press delete and ignore them? Or read the letters and note each name conscientiously?

The goal of the Voice of the People website is laudable — enabling you to register your views by automatically sending a letter to your TD — but we wonder whether the largely technophobic Dail members will pay any attention.

Facebook is tweaking its privacy settings again in the face of a barrage of criticism about its complicated set-up.

Check your settings regularly to make sure you’re not sharing your drunken, naked antics with the wider world too.

Ever needed to check your email in the car? Audi has the answer and the new A8 for 2011 will feature WiFi as an option.

Just plug in a phone SIM and the A8 will let internet fanatics get online while whizzing down the motorway.

A slightly cheaper option is the MiFi dongle, available from Vodafone and Three, which works in any car.
