Archbishop backs Pope's call to spread message of faith online
ARCHBISHOP Eamon Martin is urging people to embrace the Pope's message to "boldly become citizens of the digital world".
The Coadjutor Archbishop of Armagh has encouraged those of faith across the country to log onto the web and "bring the message and compassion of Christ to all those they meet online".
In a statement from the Irish Bishops' Conference, the Archbishop welcomed the Pope's message to mark World Day of Social Communications yesterday, in which he stressed the importance of embracing the internet as a forum for spreading faith.
"I applaud those in Ireland who witness to their love of Jesus on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and a host of other digital platforms," Dr Martin said.
