Apple wins case over Samsung tablet in German court
Samsung can’t sell its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany because it is too like Apple’s iPad2, a Dusseldorf court has ruled.
The company may not be able to sell the tablet in any other European Union country, although its subsidiaries maybe allowed to do so.
Samsung is planning to appeal the decision.
Two months ago, Apple was granted a preliminary injunction preventing Samsung from selling the tablet in most EU countries.
A separate case is pending in the Netherlands.
In Japan, NTT DoCoMo’s launch of the Galaxy Tab is going ahead despite a similar lawsuit filed there by Apple against Samsung.
