Looking to take the sting out of shaving? The couple behind Marram Co want to change the relationship with your razor
A husband-wife duo have launched a range of shaving products aimed at taking the sting out of shaving for men.
Jude Jarvis and her husband James have created MarramCo to transform the relationship that the modern man has with his razor.
The lightbulb moment for Jude came in 2015 when she realised men's grooming habits were becoming increasingly popular - and yet there was still a gap for the 'old school' method.
This is where their luxury tools and creams fit in, intending to bring the ceremony and the methodology of the more traditional approach back into fashion, and the home.
According to Jude, this new approach to the modern man's grooming was inspired by her father's own daily ritual.
"My father has always loved the functional act of shaving, the ritual, his time in the morning and the shopping experience of going to a lovely Gentlemen’s shop in Mayfair, London," said Jude.
"He does not complain of any skin problems, sensitivities. He does not believe it is a chore. It is an investment in himself."
With a background in advertising, working with a number of top global brands including Pepsi, Boots and Nestle, Jude's prime focus is on the brand, marketing, communication and ultimately engaging the Marram Co customer base.
"Men are spending more time and money on themselves than ever before. They are taking interest and learning about style, fashion, hair, jewellery etc," she said.
"Marram Co want to help enlighten men about their own skin and shaving routine so that they take pleasure in doing it right, and they want to put some emotion into the experience to make it two minutes of value and fun in their day."
Marram Co, recently launched exclusively with Brown Thomas in The Marvel Room, has designed heavy-duty shaving tools - a unique set of tools can be personally created.
The Marram Co set includes the bowl, the brush, the safety razor and the modern razor (tool price range from €250 to €425) with a number of all-natural creams available, including Wake Up Call, Night Out, The Morning After and Power Up (taster 4 x 20ml collection costs €30).
