Niamh McCabe, co-founder of Luvguru, is among 19 innovators which have been selected to compete in the final of the Nissan Generation Next ambassador programme.

Luvguru is an innovative new matchmaking app that allows friends and neighbours to play cupid, meddle in another friend’s love life, and to hook them up with a suitable date.

Other finalists include performer, producer and DJ, Kormac O’Halloran, jewellery designer Chupi Sweetman, and co-founder of the Rapid Foundation, Colin Keogh.

The Generation Next programme was founded four years ago to help Irish entrepreneurs find their feet in domestic and global markets.

To-date the programme has helped elite athletes, writers, film makers and fashion designers to succeed internationally, as well as assisting young scientists to shape and influence the fast moving world of digital technology.
