Luvguru app founder among finalists of Nissan Generation Next ambassador
Niamh McCabe, co-founder of Luvguru, is among 19 innovators which have been selected to compete in the final of the Nissan Generation Next ambassador programme.
Luvguru is an innovative new matchmaking app that allows friends and neighbours to play cupid, meddle in another friend’s love life, and to hook them up with a suitable date.
Other finalists include performer, producer and DJ, Kormac O’Halloran, jewellery designer Chupi Sweetman, and co-founder of the Rapid Foundation, Colin Keogh.
The Generation Next programme was founded four years ago to help Irish entrepreneurs find their feet in domestic and global markets.
To-date the programme has helped elite athletes, writers, film makers and fashion designers to succeed internationally, as well as assisting young scientists to shape and influence the fast moving world of digital technology.

After receiving over 1,000 applications, Nissan announced the shortlist of 19 finalists who will face a three week long public vote to win one of ten places on the Nissan Generation Next ambassador programme.
“Nissan Generation Next has been phenomenally successful in helping the next generation of Irish leaders and champions to realise their potential,” James McCarthy, CEO of Nissan Ireland said.
Members of the public can cast their vote online for any one of the 19 finalists in contention to become Nissan Generation Next ambassadors up to Friday 14 July 2017.
