Marketing and communications company Havas Worldwide has appointed Bob Coggins as managing director of its Irish operations.

Mr Coggins, who was a member of the Dublin 2014 bid committee for the One Young World summit, has overseen the expansion of Campus.ie, Havas Worldwide's youth communications brand.

He replaces Padraig Staunton who led Havas' Irish arm for the past two years.

"My immediate focus is to continue to fully integrate our digital offering, replicating the 'Havas Village' agency model being pioneered by Havas Worldwide," Mr Coggins said.

The Irish League of Credit Unions recently appointed Havas Worldwide Dublin to work with Core Media's media agency Clear Blue Water in rolling out a new loans campaign.

Havas Worldwide is part of the Havas communications group.

Its clients include Air France, Peugeot, Citroen, Volvo and Reckitt Benckiser.

Havas operates in more than 100 countries and raked in almost €2m of revenue last year.
