Buzzing with activity at BeeAdvertised

David Browne

In 1985, at the age of 6, David Browne was given the gift of a BBC MicroB to help him with his homework.

David was born with Cerebral Palsy and was unable to write due to limited hand movement.

The gift of the computer was the beginning of a lifetime’s interest in IT for David, who went on to obtain a Degree in IT in Blanchardstown.

David, now a father of two young children, identified a gap in the market for small businesses that needed honest, professional help with promotion online.

Based in Navan, Co Meath, the Digital Marketing Agency BEe Advertised was founded by David in 2012.

BeeAdvertised.com is a blog website containing Digital Marketing News, Tips and Tricks, provided by David who says "Sharing your knowledge on a blog may be seen as giving information away by some but I often tell clients it is a shop front for knowledge and expertise".

The Mission Statement of Bee Advertised is simply "To help small businesses grow and expand their online presence with an open and honest advice that works. Every client is a name and never a number".

Some of David’s Tips for a website include -

1. Provide visitors with fresh content. Make sure visitor know that your website is updated regularly and there will be something new next time by telling them when the last update took place or when the next update will become live.

2. Provide instructional content that does not contain a sales pitch! People visit your website for knowledge - from that, sales will flow so don’t be afraid to share information.

3. Encourage visitors to follow your updates on Twitter or Facebook.

4. Make sure the news section of your website is current and up to date.

5. Blog Regularly. Commit to putting out a blog (daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly). Nothing looks worse than a blog that hasn't been updated in a long time. It signals that you may no longer be in business.
