Revealed: Property prices continue to rise across the country

There has been no let-up in the rise in property prices.

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that prices were up 11.6pc nationally in the year to November.

Dublin prices were up 11.3pc.

Outside the capital, prices were up 11.7pc in the year to November.

The mid-west region showed the least price growth, with house prices increasing by 8.9pc.

Overall, the national index is 23pc lower than its highest level in 2007.

Dublin residential property prices are 24.pc lower than their February 2007 peak, while residential property prices in the Rest of Ireland are 29pc lower than their May 2007 peak.

The average price of a house rose by €22,700 in the past year to €270,100 in November.
