PREM sells procurement business to American firm

Dublin-based hospitality and hotel management company the PREM Group has sold its international procurement business, Trinity Purchasing, to a subsidiary of Aramark.

Trinity Hospitality employs 25 staff at offices in Dublin, Ireland and Ghent, Belgium, and does not expect any changes to staff as a result of its sale to Avendra, a major hospitality procurement services provider in North America. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Trinity Purchasing works with more than 800 hotels and restaurants in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Ireland and the UK.

The Trinity customer portfolio covers all hospitality industry sectors, ranging from select service to luxury hotels, as well as golf resorts, nursing homes, recreation centres and hotel schools.

Trinity Hospitality recently rebranded into different divisions: Sprint Digital, a digital Marketing Agency; Rate Wise, a revenue management solutions business; and Trinity Purchasing the group purchasing arm.

PREM cotinues to own Sprint and Rate Wise.

Avendra managed $13bn (€11.4bn) in annual purchasing spend and services over 8,500 hospitality businesses. In 2017, it was bought by Aramark which owns retailer Avoca. PREM Group owns several businesses in including PREM Hospitality which owns, leases and manages over 50 hotels including a number in Ireland.
