The smart move how to save €50 this week
IF you're doing a major clear-out, check if there's a local recycling centre near you, instead of hiring a skip or buying a skip bag. A skip bag will easily set you back €50 – and it's twice that and rising for a skip.
Not only do recycling centres take your recyclables free of charge, many of them accept large electrical household appliances – TVs, computers – which are otherwise hard to get rid of. They take tricky things like batteries, gas cylinders, clothes and cooking oil too.
So whether you've loads of cardboard or clothes to junk, or a few clunky old PC monitors, heading to a recycling centre could save you a few bob.
