There is a busy week ahead for Irish data, including around the vexed housing market.

The Central Statistics Office's Residential Property Price Index due on Wednesday will be followed by an update from the 2016 Census data on population distribution and movements.

The CSO will also publish data on new car sales (today), agricultural prices (Wednesday), consumer price inflation and trade (Thursday).

Corporate Ireland sees AGMs for IFG (tomorrow), as well as Dalata and Permanent TSB (Wednesday).

For the euro area there is no major data due in the coming week, but numbers on Friday will show how industry rounded out the first quarter.

In the UK, where the economy has performed surprisingly well since the Brexit vote, the Bank of England meets to decide monetary policy.

The bank will also publish its quarterly inflation report, while sector detail on industrial production and construction output will be revealed by the Office for National Statistics.
