Estate agents say house prices increased by 3.6pc
House prices have increased by 3.6pc so far this year led by big hikes in Dublin, according to estate agents Sherry Fitzgerald.
The latest figures suggest the property market is stabilising nationally - excluding Dublin house prices increased by slightly more than half of one percent since January.
The big gains were in Dublin, where prices have increased by 6pc in 2013 so far, according to the report.
It said house prices in Dublin are up by 11pc over the past 12 months - doubled that rate nationally.
The research is the latest evidence that the property market is increasingly uneven - with parts of the capital seeing heavy demand for some types of house but activity more subdued elsewhere.
