Customers to transfer to Flogas as Just Energy exits
THOUSANDS of gas customers will be transferred to a new operator after the exit of US-Canadian group Just Energy from this market.
Some 10,000 customer accounts are to be taken over by Flogas, in a transaction valued at €675,000.
Just Energy announced back in May that it was exiting the Irish market.Flogas warned that some customer tariffs may change on transfer to it.
The deal to transfer the customer accounts to Flogas by the end of this year is subject to approval from the regulator, the Commission for Regulation of Utilities.

The companies said there will be no impact on supply to residential and commercial customers during the transfer period.
Daragh Cassidy of price comparison site Bonkers.ie said the transfer will coincide with many of Just Energy's customers coming out of contract. This means they can sign up to a different supplier if they wish, he said.
