Aviva hikes health insurance prices by 15pc reporters

INSURANCE giant Aviva is hiking its health insurance costs by 15pc from February in a move that will affect 380,000 customers.

According to the company, the increases are due to higher claims costs, medical inflation and increased charges being put in place by the Government for private beds in public hospitals.

This is third price increase by Aviva this year – the most recent was in August.
