Electric Ireland to cut gas prices for residential customers

ELECTRIC Ireland will cut standard unit gas prices for all its residential customers by 2.5pc from April 1.

The energy provider said this would save the typical household €20 a year.

It cut electricity prices by 2pc in November.

Electric Ireland executive director Jim Dollard said the company wants to offer “the best value and exceptional customer care in a very competitive market.”

Airticrity previously said it would cut gas prices by 4pc from April 1.
