on our radar: hike in fees to change flights

Travellers flying home from the US or Canada should keep in mind that four of the world's biggest airlines have just bumped up the fees for changing a flight.

Economy passengers flying transatlantic with Delta, Air France, KLM and Alitalia will now be charged $300 (€230) to change their flight, while business and first-class passengers will pay $450. This only applies to flights originating from the US, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Canada and Mexico. The hikes exclude a few destinations, like Australia and New Zealand, but Ireland is not one of them.
