The Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, has confirmed that the PR firm that represents the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) received fees totalling over €3,000 per week last year.

New figures provided by Minister Noonan in response to a Dail PQ by Michael McGrath (FF) show that the NTMA last year paid Gordon MRM €165,059 (ex VAT). This followed the firm receiving €159,826 in 2013.

The payments, to former Progressive Democrats official Ray Gordon's firm by the NTMA last year, are significantly down on the €223,973 in 2012.

Gordon MRM acts for all of the business areas under the NTMA umbrella but the NAMA work accounted for €79,270 of fees in 2014 and €78,926 of fees in 2013.
